My kids?
My kids are not into the whole Santa thing. And not because we haven't tried. Rather, they are just completely freaked out by the Big Guy in Red.
And do you blame them?
I've shared before how I think our culture has such creepy traditions around our holidays (seriously - do they need to be SO CREEPY?). So I don't fault my girls for realizing the great danger in a random old fat man watching them while they sleep, knowing all their actions, and breaks into their house with toys.
Doesn't it just scream STRANGER DANGER?
As one might imagine, we have NO pictures of our girls (either of them) on Santa's knee. There was one Christmas that we had to completely avoid the wing of our local Mall that housed Santa's workshop. If we didn't? Chica would completely flip out. Screaming. Crying. Gnashing of teeth.
I'm sure many of you have similar experiences, and possibly some great photo evidence of the humorous visits to Santa.
