Whew! It's been a while since I featured a blogger (we'll blame it on the chaos of the holidays and then post-holiday burn out). But, being apart of the Philly Social Media Moms, I'm bursting at the seams with so many great bloggers to share with you. So I couldn't wait any longer!
I am really impressed with Jaime, today's blogger, and her blog, James and Jax. She has done something not many people are willing to do: be honest, raw and open about her life as a parent. In particular, she shares her experience with Postpartum Depression, which in turn has become a great light of encouragement and hope to other parents out there.

Easy—Breyers Mint Chocolate Chip, hands down! It’s a classic. Runner-up—Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey.

Favorite BAD band (boy bands, one hit wonder, etc)
At the risk of sounding egotistical, I have excellent taste in music! No boy bands or one-hit wonders here! I am one of the few who never loved NKOTB, In Sync, or Backstreet Boys. Sorry. (Note/confession: I did, however, obsess over Madonna & Whitney Houston in the 80s.)

How long have you been blogging?
Since September 2010. I still consider myself a newbie!
Why did you choose your blog's name/theme?
Why did you choose your blog's name/theme?
I struggled with coming up with my blog’s name. I had a whole page of scribbled names. It was awful. Finally, I decided on James & Jax because those are my and my son’s nicknames and they flow so well together. As for the theme, see the next question!
Why did you start blogging?
Why did you start blogging?
I started blogging as a way to heal from postpartum depression and anxiety through writing. I’ve always found writing to be therapeutic and have spent 26 of my 34 years doing it in one form or another. In fact, I still have my first diary, written when I was 8 years old. Blogging came naturally to me, even though I was terrified to put my thoughts out there in public—especially for family and friends to read! I’m happy to say, though, that blogging through my postpartum depression has been crucial to my recovery and as a bonus, I’ve met a wonderful support network of women who are struggling or recovering! We are a sisterhood!
