Local Flavor: West Chester Old Fashioned Christmas

It's the most wonderful time of the year!

Atleast, so the song says :) While it can be stressful with lots of events, shopping, cooking, baking, eating and overwhelming amounts of holiday music over the radio, the December Holiday Season can be a LOT of fun! I love the Christmas movies and cartoons, the festive decorations and the FOOD.

Being a West Chester native, I also mark the beginning of the season with West Chester's Old Fashioned Christmas weekend! For those of you who are scratching your heads over what to DO this weekend, fear not - there is PLENTY going on in West Chester (and worth a drive, if you aren't terribly close!)

7:00 PM Jingle Elf Run (inaugural event!)

7:45 PM Tree Lighting Ceremony @ Courthouse

8:00 PM Christmas Parade

There are more events happening on Thursday and Saturday. Check out the COMPLETE SCHEDULE HERE! One really fun tradition is catching a showing of Trial By Jury, a hilarious short play performed in the Courthouse of West Chester. Showings begin on Thursday! Also happening this weekend is a chance to get breakfast with Santa!

So, head to West Chester for dinner on Friday. Check out the refreshments and fun entertainment at local businesses. Be inspired by the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Laugh over a showing of Trial By Jury. And cheer as you watch the Parade go by!
